Solarsense install 117kWp solar PV system for Dillington Farm

Dillignton Farm Estate

The Dillington Farm solar PV system includes 708 165W Solar Frontier CIS modules, generating a peak output of 116.82kWp.

The system was fitted to a metal insulated corregated roof and provides cheaper, cleaner electricity to power the farms’ robotic miliking parlour beneath.

The system generates 104,197kWh and includes an SMA export limiting device to overcome issues with the DNO. To avoid issues with the grid, Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) require that no more than a pre-determined amount of electricity can ever be exported onto the grid. With export limitation, the DNO doesn’t have to worry about large amounts of surplus electricity entering the grid on weekends and bank holidays (when it is least needed).
