Please ensure your installer is accredited!

Recent press highlights the need for vigilant consumers to use only accredited solar installers

We are aware, expecially after recent DAILY MAIL and WHICH? Magazine reports, that a lot of start-up solar companies are using so-called “double-glazing” sales techniques to infiltrate the market.

Obviously, as a long-standing, conscientious and fully accredited solar installer and wholesaler, we are keen that all potential solar customers for thermal (hot water systems) receive quotes only from companies with the necessary accreditation to provide reassurance of quality service.

The Solar Trade Association and Renewable Energy Association, alongside MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) accreditation provide customers with assurance that the sales, installation and after-care service are of a high standard, and are bound to work within the guidelines that those associations provide.

The Daily Mail article of May 8th 2010 has upset and shocked those of us in the industry who work hard to maintain a good reputation. Although we are never keen to run-down other companies, we must distance ourselves and other responsible companies from the sales techniques and inflated claims made by some other installers.

We have been supplying solar thermal systems for over 15 years and have hundreds of satisfied customers, and we only install world-leading technology that has proven economic and environmental benefits. We are more than happy for you to meet past clients to discuss their experience in the “real world”.

It is a terrible shame that such simple and suitable technologies have been so badly run-down thanks to the operations of a tiny minority of companies.

Whether you decide to go ahead with ourselves, or another company, please be sure to check that the company you deal with is suitably accredited and experienced.
