Heat water using excess energy from your PV system

After several product trials over the last year Solarsense have decided on what we think is the best way of utilising surplus PV electricity in the home and making the most of your feed in tariff.

The immerSUN is an electronic device that constantly monitors the electricity generated from your PV system and diverts any surplus to an immersion heater. Further to this, if water in your tank is already hot another load, for example a storage heater, electric underfloor heating or panel heater, can be switched on.

The unit can be installed as part of a new system, as well as retrofitted, making it ideal for customers who already have a PV system installed but who aren’t using solar thermal.

The attractive unit, no larger than 150mm x 150mm, is easily installed typically in a morning. Useful information is shown on a neat LCD display with indicator lights. Installation for homes with existing PV systems and an immersion tank is available from £780 including VAT at 20%. Installation with a new PV system is available from £650 including VAT at 5%.
