Coventry and Warwickshire Green Business Grants

SOLAR PANEL FINANCE AND GRANTS

Green Energy Grant for businesses in Coventry and Warwickshire

A grant aimed at supporting small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) in Coventry and Warwickshire, has been extended until June 2023 and provided with additional funding.

In addition to the programme being extended, there will also be a further £8.1 million of funding available for qualifying businesses to apply for. This includes £5.5m of direct grant funding to SME’s to improve the energy efficiency of their business premises. Since the programmes were launched in 2016, 390 local businesses have received grant funding totalling £9.1m. For more information, please visit the Coventry City Council website.

What businesses can apply for the grant?

The Coventry and Warwickshire Green Business Programme supports SME businesses with fewer than 250 employees based in Coventry and Warwickshire who want to save money on energy, waste and water bills and maximise low carbon opportunities.

What can the grant be used for?

The energy efficiency grant offers between £1k – £50k (with 40% intervention) and is aimed at providing you with financial support to invest in equipment that will lead to cost and carbon savings for your business, including commercial solar panels.

A commercial solar PV system offers a means to significantly reducing your organisations’ carbon emissions, whilst considerably reducing your long-term energy costs. A typical large-scale PV system will provide free electricity for more than 25 years and achieve returns of more than 12% per annum.
