Solarsense has spent much of the last 10 years developing close working relationships with local environmental movements across the South West.

It is becoming progressively more obvious since the Clean Energy Cashback was announced, that the potential for community energy projects, and also for community-organised multiple installations is increasing.

To this end, Solarsense is pleased to renew and extend its offerings to community environmental groups.

We already provide reduced rates for grouped solar thermal and PV installations for some groups, such as Transition Village and Transition Town movements, as well as similar non-governmental environmental organisations. We also provide free talks, demonstrations, lectures and CPD (Continuing Professional Development) to a number of groups.

Among others, we are currently working with the Sustainable Crediton group on their solar project, which is proving a huge success in the locality. Find out more here.

Further to group and bulk discounts, we have a wealth of experience in the community sector, particularly where it concerns large arrays. Community or co-owned arrays are something we are keen to promote and explore with groups of motivated individuals, as they may well represent a brilliant way to engage communities in decentralised energy production and carbon saving, and there are models for running community schemes that have worked fantastically well in other countries - Germany being one primary example.

If you have a community environmental group, or a community-owned solar project that you'd like to get off the ground, please do call us and we will help you through the process.
