A 'bolt-on' system is one of the simplest and most cost effective ways to install a PV array. And, virtually all solar PV systems on existing homes are done this way.
The system comprises of either stainless steel or galvanised brackets being attached to the battens/rafters (the brackets are designed in accordance to the roof tiles so that they cause no impact to the roof insulation).
An aluminium rail system specifically designed to fit the PV modules is attached to the brackets, and then the panels are fixed to these rails using specialist clamps, and plugged, or 'strung' together to form the working electrical array.
All components are tested and/or accredited for use, and thanks to our many years of experience, we have chosen efficient and highly reliable fixings to ensure you have a long-term, problem-free installation.
