Winners - Small Installation of the Year!

Wednesday April 18, 2012

Solarsense installation comes up trumps at the Solar UK Awards 2012.

In October 2011 Solarsense installed a 168kWp solar PV system at the New Montgomery Primary School in Exeter - the UKs first zero carbon school! We found out today that the project has won Small Installation of the Year category at the Solar UK Awards 2012.

(The 'Small Installation' category is for those installations of less than 1MWp capacity - it looks pretty large in real life!)

As the major renewable energy source the PV system offsets the carbon emissions of the school building, which has been built to exacting Passivhaus standards of energy efficiency to achieve a Zero Carbon in use standard.
